About Erin

From the time I was little, home has been my medium, if you will. It's where I spent countless hours arranging and rearranging my furniture, decorating and redecorating my bedroom, setting my mom's table, and taking comfort in my surroundings.

All these years later, things aren't too different.

Like you, I wear lots of hats and life has taken me down many paths.  I am a wife, mother, daughter and friend. I'm a former English teacher, and a stay-at-home mom. I'm a dreamer, a nester, and a lover of the little details that are special.  In 2014, I checked a big item off of my bucket list and added Interior Designer to that roster, when I received my diploma from the Metropolitan Institute of Interior Design. I subsequently launched Indigo House Interiors, my design and staging business in Nassau County, NY.

Today, I'm still inspired by home, everything and everyone connected to it. I'm also passionate about helping you find the same inspiration in your own surroundings.

My blog, Indigo House, is where I explore, share and reflect about real life at home and indulge in my passion for gorgeous spaces.

When I'm not designing or writing, you'll find me nesting with my family and giant dog Nell, entertaining with friends,  and daydreaming about our next vacation.
